Happy FriYAY y’all! We've started a new weekly post called "Friyay Faves" that will showcase some of our favorite items that we’re currently using and some solid gems that we’ve stumbled upon through our travels of the interwebs. It’ll be like we’re Mary Poppins singing about a few of our favorite things! Keep reading to see what caught our eye this week!
We stumbled upon this company during our quest to find some quality fashion. We're really digging the vibes this matching apricot color outfit is giving. Tasteful and practical for your workout routine, running errands, or lounging. Girlfriend Collective is a slow fashion brand that makes their clothing out of recycled plastic and doesn’t dump polluted water into the nearest body of water! Save the fishies y’all! You can read more in depth about the process on their website here. We can’t wait to get our hands on these work out sets. These items can totally be used as an outfit if you’re going for an athleisure look! Call us crazy but we believe leggings can be pants if worn in the correct way.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray
We just discovered this facial spray and immediately fell in love! First of all it makes your face smell like a fresh bouquet of roses. If that isn’t reason enough to give it a try we've got a few more. :) It can be used to cool down your face after a workout sesh, set your make up, and smooth down the fly aways on your luscious locks. It’s only seven dollars and if you’ve got Amazon Prime you can have it by tomorrow! YAS! Get in on this y'all!
Geometric Hanging vase
We have a major thing for succulents. They seem to be the only plants we can keep alive. Mostly because they take care of themselves. We’re always looking for cute vases/holders to put our little green cuties in and these geometric hanging vases meet all of our style criteria. To be fair our style criteria list isn’t long, it’s gold and gives us modern Scandinavian vibes so we’re into it.
We were recently introduced to this trivia game show app where you have a chance to win real money (Thanks Sidney)! You can say we’re kind of obsessed. It comes on at 12pm and 6pm PST during the week and the prize is usually $2,500. On Sunday’s the prize increases to $25,000! The catch is that you play against on average 1 million users and the prize is spilt amongst the players who answer all twelve questions correctly. You only have ten seconds to answer the questions so Google is not an option! Either way we enjoy testing our knowledge or lack of knowledge since we still have yet to have a victory. Anxiety & Depression Necklaces
As frequent sufferers of anxiety we can appreciate the movement Jen Gotch Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Ban.do is trying to create to de-stigmatize mental illness and start an open dialogue about it instead of making it a taboo subject. We understand that not everyone wants to talk about their struggles and that’s okay but these necklaces spoke to us and we felt like we needed to share them with y’all. All proceeds of the sales will go to Bring Change To Mind which is a nonprofit striving to end the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness.
