Let's Hear it for the Boyz!
This week at OHBI we were inspired by the Spring Icons Collection that was selected by the starboy himself, The Weeknd. This collection is for men and sold exclusively at H&M! Although, we might have snagged a few pieces for ourselves. We took a break from being in front of the camera lens and tapped in our faithful photographers who just so happen to double as our husbands when we're not fully immersed in all things OHBI. Shout out to all of the insta-spouses out there!
When it comes to men's fashion it should be effortless yet trendy. Everyone enjoys a fresh and inspired look. This collaboration focuses on mixing classics, basics, and urban/street pieces to make the perfect statement for men's fashion. The collection sold out fast so if you weren't lucky enough to snag some of the key pieces there is no need to worry. You can still pull this look off without merchandise that has The Weeknd's signature "XO" logo. We have put together some key tips to accomplish this inspired look.
The necessary classics should include tailored pants, button up shirts, and suede and leather jackets. Fellow fashion blogger Joshua aka @Trendaddy helped us out and sold us on the idea of buttoning collard shirts to the top for a sharp and sophisticated look. He paired the button up with a bomber and tailored pants to give the outfit an urban vibe while still holding true to a mens classic look. Cuffing the pants and showing a little ankle never hurt anyone, give it a shot boys!
Our love for bombers lives on. This collaboration has a number of bomber styles to choose from. Flawlessly combining neutral colors and our favorite 90's theme. We are still swooning over this forest green silk bomber with the XO detail. This bomber meshes perfectly with a khaki green tee but any neutral would look great.
Pair your silky smooth bomber and minimalistic tee with some distressed denim to complete the look. To keep that urban feel of the trend we would chose to pair this look with military style boots. Zoom!
This grey bomber is the perfect addition to any mans wardrobe! We layered it over the dreamy black XO hoodie for an added layer of fashion and chose some comfortable high-top vans to bring the outfit all together. A lightweight jacket that easily pairs with any outfit is a closet staple.
Our last tip on how to achieve The Weeknd's style is to opt for neutral colors. With Spring approaching these color tones are easy to find in most stores and are essential for creating a Spring Icon inspired outfit. A refined and simple tee in a neutral color pairs perfectly with light denim.
