The Summer time vibes have officially hit (nothing makes it more apparent than the 100 degree weather) and this week at OHBI we're talking all about Memorial Day fashion and Maria Shireen! No matter how you plan to celebrate Memorial Day weekend cute outfits are a must! With the help of our new bracelets we found some inspiration for the three-day weekend. We chose to stick with the red, white, and blue color scheme of course. This striped tee with a red heart shaped patch was giving us all the heart eyes. We paired it with our favorite girlfriend fit denim jeans. If you were unaware there is now a girlfriend fit that has replaced the ever so popular boyfriend fit in our wardrobes. GIRL POWER. We're here to share our love for this fit with y'all. The girlfriend fit is slightly more tailored than the boyfriend fit which is perfect if you're on the shorter side or if you have a little bit more junk in the trunk (Sarah here, I can relate on both levels). Insert the eye roll emoji because finding jeans is difficult. The girlfriend fit allows you to rock the relaxed look without your jeans looking to baggy. Our second outfit inspiration is giving us all "The Hamptons" feels. We're kind of obsessing over this patriotic bandana. It's the perfect addition to any outfit. This hat doubles as a face cover when your snoozing in the shade (we're catching those zzz's whenever we can, adulting can be tiring y'all). To complete this "I'll be vacationing in the Hamptons" look we paired it with light washed skinny jeans and the cutest camel colored open toed pumps. Some times you need to let your toes see the sunshine so these pumps are the perfect addition to any summer wardrobe.
We love our three day weekends just as much as anyone else but let's not forget the real reason we get to bypass Monday this week. We're honoring all of the brave men and women who have lost their lives serving and protecting this beautiful country. We're truly grateful for all of the courageous people who continue to defend the home of the free and allow us to dream big and chase our passions.
